Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital

About Us

Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, named to honor and memorialize residents who served in World War I has been located on the northern edge of the village since 1924. Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital operates a 25-bed general acute care hospital, that includes a medical-telemetry unit and an additional 10-bed inpatient psychiatric unit. Soldiers & Sailors also offers a Swing Bed Program.

The Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital Inpatient Psychiatric Unit addresses each patient's unique needs and differing life situation using a multidisciplinary treatment team approach. The inpatient unit consists of quiet areas for individual and group therapy sessions, lounge areas, recreational activity room, dining area, laundry facilities, and kitchen area.

The Swing Bed Program located on First Acute is utilized to provide patients with care following an acute care hospitalization, when the patient needs more time to recover.
