Yates County Chamber Launches "AI for Small Business" Workshops

PENN YAN, NY – If you’re a business and feeling curious or overwhelmed about AI, the Yates County Chamber of Commerce's Growth Series is here to help with AI for Small Business: From First Steps to Everyday Use, a three-part, hands-on workshop led by the FLX AI Hub at Finger Lakes Community College and sponsored by Coach & Equipment.

Sessions run from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Keuka College:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 28 – Understanding AI & Getting Started: The basics of AI, prompting, bias, and ethics, plus hands-on activities.
  • Friday, Nov. 6 – AI Tools for Daily Operations: Practical tools that can help save you time and support your daily workflow.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 18 – Best Practices for AI: Real-world applications, shared experiences, and answers to your questions.
Registration for all three sessions is $75 for Chamber members and $95 for non-members. Participants should bring a laptop and have access to an AI platform. A paid subscription is needed for Parts 2 and 3, though some platforms offer free trials.
