Moonshadow Kitchen Finds a New Home at Sweet Farm
Vegan food truck partnership brings fresh, farm-to-table flavor to the Finger Lakes

Vegan, dairy-free and gluten-free eatery Moonshadow Kitchen, has embarked on an exciting new chapter, now operating as a food truck at Sweet Farm, located at 210 Hall Road in Himrod. Known for its creative plant-based dishes, Moonshadow Kitchen is bringing fresh, local, and flavorful vegan fare to new audiences—just steps away from where much of its produce is grown.



Owner and chef, Robert Auchman, has been cooking vegan food for five years and says the transition to Sweet Farm feels like a natural fit.

“Anna and Nate from Sweet Farm reached out to me after hearing that I was looking for a new space,” said Robert. “Since my menu aligns with their mission, it was a perfect match.”

One of the highlights of this partnership is access to Sweet Farm’s fresh produce, which features prominently in Moonshadow Kitchen’s menu. Cooking vegan has always been a passion for Robert not only for the health and environmental benefits but also for the sensory experience.



Moonshadow Kitchen is currently determining its operating schedule for the coming months but plans to be available for both private and public events. The team is in talks with Vineyard View Winery who has a satellite tasting room and event space at Sweet Farm, for possible collaborations, including wine-pairing dinners, Sunday meditation brunches, and even cooking classes. The business also continues to offer private catering, events, and pop-up opportunities.

When asked about community response to his vegan creations, Robert said the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. “People really enjoy our offerings. One gentleman, a self-declared meat eater, told me my food might make him rethink some of his choices,” he commented. “That’s exactly what we strive for—good food that just happens to be vegan.”

With plans in the works for cooking classes and wellness brunches, Moonshadow Kitchen promises to be a fresh, flavorful addition to the local culinary scene in the Finger Lakes.
