Registration is open for youth ages 10 to 15 to join this popular camp July 6-10
FINGER LAKES, February – Registration is open for Finger Lakes Boating Museum’s Summer Day Camp program to be held Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 10, 2026.
Youth ages 10 to 15 will participate in activities at Museum boat shops, exhibit halls, and the Hammondsport waterfront as experienced camp staff and volunteers introduce campers to Finger Lakes boat-building history and how to safely enjoy boating today. On the water, campers will sample classic wooden inboard boating, canoeing, sailing, rowing, and even dragon boating. Participants will also learn about and try their hand at traditional boating-related crafts. Plus, they will have the opportunity to explore the Museum campus and collection of Finger Lakes-built boats.
Camp concludes on Friday when all campers will learn boating safety from the Museum’s certified instructor and earn their required NYS boating safety certificate. The course and exam are included in camp tuition.

Youth of all experience levels are welcome. The Museum provides all necessary equipment and gear and maintains a strict focus on safety at all times.
FLBM Day Camp takes place at the Museum located at 8231 Pleasant Valley Rd., Hammondsport, NY and at Depot Park in Hammondsport from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., July 6-10. Registration is $275 per camper for FLBM members and $300 for nonmembers.
