Sign up to learn:
Class #1 (7/16) - The Diversity of Finger Lakes Rosés
We'll talk about what makes the Finger Lakes so perfect for making beautiful, aromatic dry rosés, and taste 6 examples.
This class will be focused around how to break down differences and similarities in what we taste and the structures of the wines.
Class #2 (7/30) - Varietal Series: Sauvignon Blanc Around the World
Do you like to drink Sauv Blanc and want to learn more? Maybe you've never tried Sauvignon Blanc for fear of not liking it after buying a whole bottle?
Let's take an hour-long trip around the world through our wine glasses and try wines made from this single grape from the Finger Lakes, New Zealand, France, California, South Africa, and Chile.
Class #3 (8/13) - Varietal Series: Finger Lakes Dry Rieslings and Terroir
In this class we'll zoom around the Finger Lakes, trying 6 Dry Rieslings grown in our different microclimates and soil types as we taste their individual "terroirs" and what make the Finger Lakes so special for Riesling.
Class #4 (8/27) - Warm Climate vs Cool Climate
Here we'll learn about the differences between wines grown and made in wamer climates vs cool climates. We'll try 3 different varietals side-by-side to note how climate can change the taste and structure of wine.
We'll taste Chenin Blanc from France & South Africa, Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile and the Finger Lakes, and Pinot Grigio from Italy and California
Class #5 (9/10) - The Origins of Red Blends
Who doesn't love a dry red blend? Seemingly new to many with the introduction of "Meritage" in 1988 in the US, we will see the roots of where red blending originates by trying some red blends from old world and new.
Class #6 (9/24) - Bubble, Sparkle, and Fizz
To round out our Summer Wine Classes, we will taste through a variety of styles of sparkling wines and learn the difference between Champagne method, Traiditional method, Charmat method, and Carbonated wines as we taste Finger Lakes bubbles, Champagne, Prosecco, Asti, and more!
Each class is $15 if you bring your own wine glasses; we recommend at least 3 glasses to bring from home. Please make sure your glasses are similar in shape and size and have a stem (like what's pictured). If you would like to be provided glasses, we have them available, to keep and re-use, at an additional cost.
If you'd like to attend all six classes at the same time slot, tickets are available at a discounted price to purchase in bulk!
Sign up soon to reserve your seat, and please note the time and date on the ticket you purchase.
