Volunteers Needed for 2026 Cruisin' Night

We are excited to announce the upcoming Penn Yan Annual Cruisin Night on Friday, June 5, 2026! This beloved event brings together car enthusiasts, families, and community members for a day of classic vehicles, fun activities, and local pride.
To make this event a success, we're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team. Volunteers play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Volunteer Opportunities:

1. Event Setup (2 hours)
2. Event Teardown (2 hours)
3. Directing Traffic (3-hour shift; can be broken into 1-hour shifts)
4. Traffic Control Flaggers at the main intersection (2-hour shifts, between 1–5 pm)
5. Barricade Helpers (2-hour time slots; positions needed for the entire event) Event duration: 1–8 pm (from setup to teardown)
6. Garbage Cans (collecting garbage and changing out the can liners throughout the event). At the end of the event, all cans and trash need to be removed from the street. Trash disposal location: TBD. We need one person or a team to cover this from 5–8 pm, checking the cans every 30 minutes.
7. Handing Out Flyers (Seeking sports teams, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, etc.)
