Yates County Chamber of Commerce Seeks Nominations for 2026 Annual Community Awards

The Yates County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for its Annual Community Awards. Nominations must be submitted by Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

These awards recognize outstanding individuals and organizations who exemplify the spirit, pride, and commitment that make Yates County a vibrant place to live, work, and visit.

The Snow Award
Presented annually to a business or organization in Yates County that demonstrates exceptional dedication to community enrichment. Recipients show a strong commitment to volunteerism, leadership, collaboration, and engagement. This award is named in honor of former Chamber Director and Tourism Committee Chair, Norman Snow, whose legacy reflects a deep dedication to both the Chamber and the community.

The Seager Award
Presented annually to an individual who brings an uplifting spirit to the community through both their professional and personal life. This person’s positivity, encouragement, and optimism help foster a welcoming and supportive environment where others can thrive. The award honors former Chamber Executive Director, Emily Seager.

Award recipients will be recognized at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner on June 10, 2026, held at Climbing Bines Craft Ale Company. The Chamber is proud to have Lyons National Bank as the presenting sponsor of this year’s event.

Community members are encouraged to nominate deserving individuals or organizations by emailing Jody at jody@yatesny.com no later than May 20, 2026.
