Walk Through History at Lakeview Cemetery

The public is invited to join the Yates County History Center and the Penn Yan Public Library on Saturday, August 17^th for its annual Walk Through Yates County History Cemetery Tour
This year’s 2 p.m. walk at Lakeview Cemetery in Penn Yan will feature the Public Universal Friend, her family members, supporters and naysayers for a themed walk.  Attendees will meet David Wagener, Arnold James Brown Potter, Patience Wilkinson Potter, Elizabeth Smith and Jemima Wilkinson-The Public Universal Friend, as she visits for a little while before returning to her anonymous grave. 
Admission is $8.00 each or $15 for a family.  Proceeds benefit both the Penn Yan Public Library and the Yates County History Center.  Please park at PY Municipal lot across from Lakeview Cemetery’s Elm Street entrance.  Friends of the Penn Yan Public Library are supplying golf carts to assist participants.
