Registration link: https://bit.ly/resilpy We're excited to invite you to a presentation with Marisa Lansing about the Finger Lakes Climate Fund! Join us to learn how you can participate with or support this great regional resource. "The Finger Lakes Climate Fund is the oldest local carbon offsetting fund in the country. We distribute grants to local lower-income community members to install energy efficiency equipment (like air source heat pumps) and lead the transition off of harmful fossil fuels. The FLCF works to promote these clean energy projects in the Finger Lakes area while strengthening our regional economy and assisting local families in need. The Fund provides a way for individuals, businesses, and organizations to support our community while offsetting greenhouse gas emissions from their buildings or travel, using our carbon calculator." Marisa Lansing has been coordinating the Finger Lakes Climate Fund (FLCF) at Sustainable Tompkins since 2019, soon after graduating from Ithaca College with a B.A. in Environmental Studies. She has continued her commitment to climate justice and community building through her work with ST, coordinating Ithaca Green New Deal outreach to underrepresented communities, and growing vegetables with Buried Treasures Organic Farm. She is also the co-founder of the youth-led climate justice organization, Sunrise Ithaca, which fought to get the Green New Deal resolution passed in the City of Ithaca, successfully!
