Celebration, The Arts Center's annual holiday show opens Tuesday, November 10. Capture the holiday with distinctive resin/silicone cast artwork handcrafted by Linda Kays Biviano. Biviano's quirky colorful holiday trolls, elves and Santa's will surely broaden smiles and enliven spirits. Also new this year, colorful, freestanding, scrollsaw puzzles by June and Tony Burns of Peachy Originals. They're fun, affordable gifts for kids of all ages. If you're looking for a something from the Finger Lakes, Lisa Gnau's unique artwork created from pebbles, glass and driftwood collected from our shores is sure to intrigue you. Express your look with stunning jewelry - one of a kind pieces handcrafted in sterling and fine silver by Kyri Hinkleman of Rochester, or hand beaded bracelets and necklaces of semi-precious stones crafted by Laura Crosetti. If it's wonderful wearables you're after, Eileen Weishan's handmade fabric purses, shawls, vests and scarves will entice you with an enveloping feeling of comfort.
Penn Yan Art Guild members are again offering popular hand-painted, mini-canvas ornaments. Holiday card assortments featuring paintings by local artists are available in two sizes this year, with personalization available. You'll find artwork by regional artists to fit every pocketbook and in every size and medium. Returning are Leah Hawley's intricate postage stamp designs, Edie DeVoe's vintage decorations, paintings by regional artists evoking summer memories, photography that captures intricacy, detail and color, delightful amusing puzzles for children and adults, Keuka Lake cheeseboards, origami books, it's all available and more. The Flick gallery has stocking stuffers too - Keuka Lake bottle openers, unique mini handmade notebooks, fashionable face masks and, of course, jewelry slips easily into a stocking. If your plans for an organized and methodical campaign of early holiday shopping have not come to fruition or you just need a last minute present, you'll find distinctive offerings at Celebration, opening Tuesday, November 10.
The Arts Center is open Monday through Friday from 10 am to 3 pm and Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm.
