Shop locally this year in a safe space for quality holiday gifts while supporting the local economy. The annual holiday Celebration show at the Arts Center of Yates County in Penn Yan, opening November 9, will feature eight new artists and crafters featuring holiday items to cheer the spirit. An additional dozen artists will be returning to offer wearable art, whimsical fairies, jewelry, kids’ puzzles, an array of ornaments from felted wool sheep to a variety of antique and wooden items and from glass to the popular Penn Yan Art Guild’s individually painted ornaments. Colorful sculptures and floor pieces modeled in clay will offer a fun diversion and unique gift for any shopper. Also featured will be the artwork of our Flick Gallery exhibiting artists including fine art paintings in oil, watercolor, pastel, collage as well as pottery, clay, art glass, jewelry, metalwork, crafted wooden bowls and photography to name a few. Buy your distinctive holiday gifts early at Celebration, opening Tuesday, November 9, 10-5:00 with a special welcoming reception Friday, November 12, 5-7:00.
