Conversation Cafe: Banned Books and Intellectual Freedom

The library is proud to sponsor the first in an ongoing series of community discussions with a special conversation during Banned Books Week! Why do some books get banned or challenged? What does "intellectual freedom" mean? Is it ever okay to ban a book? We'll touch on all these topics and more at this open, facilitated discussion. All points of view are welcome for a respectful and civil dialogue, maintained using tried-and-true methods of discourse. Dig into the issues while enjoying a drink of your choice- the first one's on the library! It's time to get to know each other again.
