Join the Friends of the Outlet April 24 for Celebrate Trails Day, the annual spring celebration of the pathways everyone loves by helping to clear the trail of sticks and litter from the winter months.
Over the past year, the Keuka Outlet Trail has been a haven for thousands looking for a place to enjoy fresh air and nature with family and friends in a pandemic-safe way.
Now, with the beautiful spring weather we’re enjoying, people are seeking ways to get back out and appreciate the beauty of the Keuka Outlet Trail. April 24 is a perfect time to take a short or long walk along the trail and help keep the area beautiful for everyone. So take time April 24 as your schedule permits, and choose an area to walk along the trail. As you walk, carry a garbage bag to pick up litter, and toss sticks and other natural debris away from the trail and its edges to make mowing tasks easier for the dedicated volunteers on the maintenance committee.
Remember, the Keuka Outlet Trail is owned and maintained by an all-volunteer group, and it is a carry in, carry out natural space. All visitors are responsible for helping to keep the area pristine.
