Beneficiary Applications for the 2023 Community Table Dinner

The Yates County Chamber of Commerce and the Community Table Dinner Committee are seeking applicants for the 2023 Community Table Dinner beneficiary. The event will take place on September 9th, 2023 in Penn Yan. 
 
The Community Table Dinner is a sustainable farm-to-table dinner that features local chefs, bakers, farms, and craft beverage producers. Event attendees sit at one long communal table on the Main Street Bridge in Penn Yan while they enjoy a cocktail reception and a multi-course dinner. 
 
 Application Criteria 

Your organization must service the Yates County area to be considered.

The better aligned your program is with our eligibility criteria, the more likely your application will be accepted. Please be aware however, that meeting our criteria does not guarantee you will become a beneficiary. We receive many proposals, and carefully vet the organizations who become beneficiaries. 

The following list indicates areas that are not generally supported as beneficiaries: 

  • Individuals 
  • Organizations that discriminate based on race, color, sex, gender identity and/or expression, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, age, or disability. 
  • Religious endeavors 
  • Political, legislative, or lobbying organizations 
  •  Local sports or athletic teams 
  • Travel or organized field trips 
  • Family reunions 
  • Organizations that do not have the status under Section 501-c (3) or Section 501-c (6) 

To complete the application below, you must agree to the following conditions: 

Commitment to Partnership: Your organization must commit to the following to ensure the event success. You must provide at least 20 volunteers to support the event. 

Volunteer Opportunities 

Listed below are the areas your volunteers are needed: 

  • Event Setup 
  • Food Runners 
  • Break-down / clean up 
  • Poster Distribution 

You will share all event information and promotion that has been provided by the committee. You are not create or publish any of your own marketing materials for this event. 
 

For those who are interested in applying should do so by filling out the online form or by bringing the downloadable form below to the Yates County Chamber of Commerce office. The deadline to apply is March 30th and the selected organization will be selected by May 1st. 
 
Last year’s Community Table Dinner fundraiser donated $10,000 to Penn Yan Theatre Company (PYTCo). The funds are being used toward their major renovations of the Sampson Theatre.
