About Us

The Yates Community Center creates welcoming, accessible opportunities for people of all ages to connect, learn, and thrive.
Serving Yates County and the surrounding rural communities, YCC supports children, families, older adults, athletes, and community members through fitness, recreation, education, enrichment, and social connection. Our goal is to provide a safe and inclusive environment where everyone can build healthy habits, develop new skills, form meaningful relationships, and feel a sense of belonging.
YCC currently offers a fitness center, 3.1 miles of outdoor walking trails, courts, a playground, a pavilion, adult wellness classes, youth activities, seasonal events, sports leagues, and community-based programming. Through partnerships with local schools, health organizations, libraries, human-service agencies, and other community groups, we are able to expand access to programs that support physical, emotional, and social well-being.
YCC is also preparing for an exciting new chapter with the development of a 35,000-square-foot indoor community and recreation facility. The expansion will create year-round space for indoor walking, athletics, youth programs, community gatherings, educational opportunities, and inclusive recreation.
