About Us
Our Town Rocks is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to making the Dundee, Barrington, and Starkey communities healthier, stronger, and more connected. Through community partnerships, local programs, events, and opportunities for residents of all ages, Our Town Rocks works to nurture wellness, learning, connection, and quality of life.
At the heart of Our Town Rocks is the belief that strong communities are built by recognizing and connecting the people, organizations, resources, and talents already present in our neighborhoods. From supporting children and families to encouraging healthy lifestyles, lifelong learning, community engagement, and local development, Our Town Rocks helps turn community ideas into meaningful action.
Our Town Rocks is a place where neighbors come together, share their strengths, support one another, and help make Dundee and the surrounding communities a wonderful place to live, work, learn, and grow.
OTR Vision:
The health status of the 5,000+ residents will gradually improve over a 10-15 year period and beyond in response to the connection and mobilization of neighborhood assets to strengthen the physical, social, and economic health of the population.
OTR Mission:
To preserve and improve the physical, social and economic health of the Barrington/ Starkey/Dundee Neighborhood, The support neighborhood self-reliance and enhance the quality of life for the residents through community-based problem solving, neighborhood-oriented services and public/ private cooperation.
