SUMMARY:Art Project: Encaustic Photo Transfers
DESCRIPTION:Every other month\, local artist Jeannette McDunnah will guide us through a new art project   and this month\, we will be learning in person! Practice the art of encaustic photo transfer: we'll begin with a brief history of encaustic painting and safety precautions\, then learn how to prepare a wood panel to complete the photo transfer\, and finally transfer some images\, resulting in a visually unique print. There will be some stock photos available to transfer\, but if you would like to use your own photo\, please email it to aandrasik@pypl.org by May 20 and the library will be sure to have it printed and ready for you. No experience necessary! Registration is required\; to sign up\, please visit https://bit.ly/artsdraftspy. Open to adults only\, as we will be working with heat. Hosted by Penn Yan Public Library.
